The Moon Valley is included on the website of the National Park Chapada dos Veadeiros,in Chapada dos Veadeiros, in the municipality of Alto Paraã so de Goiás (GO).
It is a set of rocky formations cavadas on stone by the rapids of transparent waters of Rio São Miguel, over 600 million years according to geologists.
The water, over millions of years, was sculpting stone gently forming small caves, natural pools and several interesting ways.
The name comes from the Valley of the Moon appearance that a grocery lunar landscape with small craters dug by the friction of the sand brought by the water with the rocks in curves where the rapids are stronger, giving origin to small rodamoinhos and funnels.
Is located 11 km from São Jorge by highway GO-239, by entering into an unpaved road of 4 km until a park. Hence a trail easy allows reach Valley.It is a private reserve, why is paid a small fee at the entrance but are not necessary guides.
