The Copacabana Palace Hotel is a luxurious and famous hotel located in front of Copacabana Beach in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.It was inaugurated on August 13, 1923.
The famous hotel is widely regarded as the South America Premier Hotel 's, and received the rich and famous for more than 90 years. It faces the sea coast and is composed of a main building of 8 floors and an annex of 14 floors. The Art Deco hotel was designed by the French architect Joseph Rotate.
 Has 216 rooms (148 in the main building and 78 in the Annex), a semi-Olympic pool, an exclusive pool for VIP guests located in coverage, a tennis court, fitness center, a 3-story spa, three bars of all of them within their respective restaurants, one with Italian food with a pan-Asian and another with international food..















Many famous people have been guests at the Copacabana Palace, including Madonna, Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, Walt Disney, Rolling Stones, Elizabeth Taylor, Elton John, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, Gina Lollobrigida, Brigitte Bardot, Diana, Princess of Wales, Harald V of Norway, Queen Sonia of Norway, Luciano Pavarotti, among others.

In 2008, Copacabana Palace was confirmed as a cultural heritage of the city of Rio de Janeiro. He had already been previously appointed as such by the federal government (8/14/86), by the municipal government (2003/04/07) and in 2008/10/30 was confirmed as such by all the three spheres of government.


Since it was refurbished, the hotel once more climbed to the top of the (and South America) 5-star deluxe hotel market of Rio de Janeiro. (In March 2014 Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. renamed Belmond Hotels, eo hotel was renamed Copacabana Palace.
